I put this spreadsheet together to tell me when the city is going to sweep my street. Obviously, you get a parking ticket if you leave your car parked on the street on those days. The street sweeping days for me are the 1st and 4th Thursday of each month. There are other reasons to have a calendar like this. Possible board meetings or committee meetings.
I want to give credit to J, Walk for the calendar formulas and Chip Pearson for the Nth day of the month formula. I simply put the two together with some conditional formatting. Each time Excel recalculates, the calendar updates for the current month, showing today’s date (blue) and the two sweep days in red. The only inputs are the three yellow cells:
